Preliminary squad to face Uzbekistan and Singapore in WCQ revealed.

National team manager Noureddine Ould Ali has named a list of 28 players that will face Uzbekistan and Singapore in the first set of World Cup qualifiers next month.

The list of players includes a few surprise exclusions as Yashir Islame- Palestine’s most reliable goalscorer since his debut has not been called up. There is also no place for Ahmed Awad- despite recent good form that has seen him notch three goals in Dalkurd’s last four games.

Mahmoud Eid- who has been named to the Allsvenskan team of the week twice this season- has also been excluded alongside veteran fullback Jaka Ihbeisheh has started all seven games in the Slovenian top flight for NK Bravo this season.

A glut of promising Olympic Team players are also on the outside looking in- Michel Termanini, Saado Abdelsalam, Mohammed Darwish, and Yousef Emghames are just some of the foreign based players yet to be given a real chance by Ould Ali.

Instead, Ould Ali has returned to the Khaled Salem experiment despite the player failing miserably as an impact substitute during the AFC Asian Cup.

New names in the squad include Waleed Qombor, Ahmed Al-Zuraiqi, and Ahmed Abu Khadijah alongside fringe players Haitham Khairallah and Musa Saleem. Should the squad be cut to 23 players these players will most likely be culled.

The squad is as follows:
