Palestine to face Kyrgyzstan in September

Palestine are set to make a return to action next month and will do so against a familiar opponent. The Kyrgyz FA announced on their website that they will host Palestine in a September friendly.

The match will be held on September 2nd with further details forthcoming. In an interview last month, PFA President Jibril Rajoub had teased the possibility of this friendly along with another one against Malaysia.

With the FIFA match window stretching from August 30th to September 8th, it is certainly possible that Palestine could squeeze a second match into the window.

Palestine and Kyrgyzstan have locked horns six times previously with three meetings coming during the Noureddine Ould Ali era in 2018 and 2019. Their overall record stands at 1W-3D-2L.
