Palestine play out scoreless draw against Saudi Arabia in final Asian Cup tuneup

Another 0-0 draw between the two sides who have made low scoring draws between them something of a habit.

Palestine’s training camp has come to a close with the team playing out a 0-0 draw against three time Asian Cup winners Saudi Arabia.

The game was not broadcast with both teams looking to safeguard their plans ahead of the continental showpiece.

Palestine made a seven changes at halftime. Just like in the game against Uzbekistan the goalkeeper was changed with Rami Hamadi coming on for Amr Kaddoura.

Saudi Arabia manager Roberto Mancini also made seven changes at halftime. The Green Falcons were reduced to ten men in the 52nd minute when Salem Al-Dawsari was sent off.

Palestine were the better team over the 90 minutes with the Saudi keeper keeping out two headed efforts.

Palestine now shifts its focus to its Asian Cup opener against Iran slated for Sunday at 20:30 local time.
