This month will see the national team return to action for the first time since their participation in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup last January. That side, which was largely experimental in nature, was bereft of many national team stalwarts.
The upcoming Kuwait friendly- slated for January 18th- will see the return of established names that ply their trade in the WBPL or are available for selection for other reasons.
Mohammed Darweesh headlines the squad alongside Palestine’s all-time leader in Assists Tamer Seyam. Mus’ab Al-Battat and Sameh Maraaba are the only other players in the side with more than 35 caps to their name.
The fact that this match is not being played on a FIFA date means there has been a slew of changes to the last competitive squad that took the field in November 2019. 16 Players who were called up last time are not part of the preliminary 24 man list.
The national team will camp in Jericho for 10 days starting on January 5th before flying to Kuwait.
