It is finally here. Football Palestine had an inkling of the squad and published a 29-man squad on Saturday.

That list turned out to be accurate with the only exclusions coming as a result of injuries picked up in training. Samer Zubaida will miss out as will Shehab Qunbar but no alternates have been called in to replace them.

Abdelhadi Yassin and Amr Kaddoura were early withdrawls from the squad due to personal reasons. In their place, the national team drafted Khaled Azzam but he was unable to travel out of Palestine leaving the backup goalkeeper positions to the uncapped Baraa Kharoub and Mahdi Assi.

It is quite possible that when Palestine takes the field against Lebanon on Thursday that all outfield players will be those that are based abroad. The only locally based outfield player is Mohammed Darweesh who returns after a two year absence.

There is a call up for Ali Rabei who had been in previous squads under Makram Daboub. The other new call-ups are the recently recruited Moustafa Zeidan, Omar Faraj, and Wessam Abou Ali.

The one notable absence is Mahmoud Eid given the fact that he has had a 20-goal/assist season in the Thai toflight this season.

The rest of the squad is as follows:

Palestine faces Lebanon at the Jassim bin Hamed Stadium in Doha on Thursday, June 6th at 19:00 Jerusalem Time. They will then play Australia in Perth on June 11th with kickoff set for 15:10 Jerusalem Time.
