For the second time in many months Palestine and Kuwait will lock horns in a friendly match. Earlier this month, a group of WBPL players recorded Palestine’s first ever win over Kuwait at the Jaber Al-Ahmad international stadium.
This time, Palestine will play host to Al-Azraq as Kuwait is set to grace the pitch of the Faisal Al-Husseini Stadium for the first time on February 25th. The meeting between the two sides was presented by the PFA as a joint celebration of Kuwait’s National Day.
PFA President Jibril Rajoub has guaranteed that the Kuwaiti delegation would be able to enter Palestine unhindered. All teams that make the journey to play Palestine must cross the land border with Jordan, one that is operated and monitored by the Israeli Defence Forces.
Both teams will use this second encounter to further prepare for the return of World Cup qualifying on March 25th.
