I hesitate to call this a friendly because from what I’ve heard it was more of a closed door practice match. Palestine lost 2-0 to Kuwait’s Olympic side (presumably the same side that won the WAFF Championship). Not a great result but I cannot say I’m surprised. If Palestine does end up qualifying for next year’s AFC Challenge Cup I have a feeling they will do it by the skin of their teeth.
In other news Philippines fell 2-1 to Mongolia in the second leg of their play-in qualifier. Having won at home 2-0 they will progress on aggregate (3-2) and join ourselves, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.
