2020 has been a difficult year for many but it is an especially perilous one for footballers who find themselves out of contract, out of favor, or just out of luck.
History will most likely remember this year as the year of the breakthrough as Mahmoud Wadi became the first Palestinian footballer to command a transfer fee of more than 1 million USD/EUR.
That said, it’s also been pretty trying for a lot of other players. Many WBPL stars have decamped from the league due to wages going unpaid with Mohammed Rashid moving to the Saudi second tier and Abdallah Jaber and Rami Hamadi moving to the Israeli Premier League.
Joining the ranks of the club-less this week is Tamer Seyam who found himself out of favor at Houssania Agadir with the arrival of a new coaching staff. The two parties agreed to a mutual termination of his contract.
