Earlier this week, former Hilal Al-Quds and national team right back Musa Farawi announced that he had signed for Ghazl El-Mahalla of the Egyptian Premier League.

The move comes at the request of former Egypt boss Shawky Gharib who had requested the player be acquired. It is unclear whether El-Mahalla paid a transfer fee or whether National Bank allowed him to void his contract to facilitate the move.

Farawi moved to National Bank following the 2023 Asian Cup but was limited to just six appearances and had not participated in any games this season.

The 26 year old got an earlier than expected debut yesterday coming on for Osama Fathy after 17 minutes. The Jerusalemite played well in his 73 minutes on the pitch contributing two key passes in the 1-0 loss to Harras El-Hedoud.
