In what has been an active winter transfer window already two more national team players have new clubs.

Earlier this week, Odai Kharoub terminated his contract with Malaysian Super League side Kelantan United. The club did not stand in the way of their captain who has been one of the strongest midfielders since joining the team in early 2023.

While rumors swirled that the 31-year old would be headed to Qatar to sign with Al-Khor the reality proved to be much different. The Thaqafi Tulkarem product will instead sign with Al-Ahly Benghazi to link up with fellow Palestinian Zaid Qunbar.

Michel Termanini who had gone over a year without playing a league match has a new home. The Malmö born defender has signed with Al-Wakrah in a move designed to strengthen the club ahead of their Asian Champions League 2 doubleheader against Taawoun of Saudi Arabia.

At the time of writing, Al-Wakrah has no foreign player spots available and has yet to secure an exemption to count the centre back as a local player. A foreign spot might become available should Egyptian international Hamdy Fathy leave the club to join Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.

Michel Termanini was last on the books of Kazma in the Kuwaiti topflight and has played in the top flights of Oman, Egypt, and Sweden. The 26 year old played every minute of last year’s Asian Cup campaign and has been a stalwart of the team in World Cup qualification helping keep clean sheets in five of the eleven games he started and scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Bangladesh last March.

In other news, Degerfors IF announced that Zamalek forward Omar Faraj will rejoin the club up until July 31st. The 22 year old had transferred to Zamalek from AIK in September but was limited to just four games in his brief spell with the club. In spite of limited playing time, Faraj scored once and won a penalty.
