Mokhtar “The Dinosaur” Al-Talili has announced a squad of sixteen players to take on Lebanon’s Olympic Team in Sidon on May 14th. The squad doesn’t include any Jabal Al-Mokaber players who are set to represent Palestine at the AFC President’s Cup this week in Myanmar. Also left out of the squad are all players who seem to be making the jump to the senior team this summer (Eyad Abugharqud, Abdelhamid Abuhabeeb). Despite reports to the contrary, I would be shocked to see Hicham Ali show up in Beirut for this game, seeing how the Swedish league is in full swing. There have been also reports of some Palestinians who ply their trade in Lebanon joining the fold.
