Another day, another Palestinian on the move in this frenetic window. The first seventeen days have seen Rami Hamadi (Al-Markhiya/Qatar), Omar Faraj (Degerfors/Sweden), Odai Kharoub (Al-Ahly/Libya), and Michel Termanini (Al-Wakrah/Qatar) all move clubs.
The Qatari capital of Doha is set to become home to yet another national team player. Mere days after signing Michel Termanini the club will add another Palestinian player- stregthening their squad ahead of an Asian Champions League 2 encounter against Al-Taawoun of Saudi Arabia.
Musab Al-Battat had signed for Jordanian side Al-Faisaly last year following a successful Asian Cup campaign that saw him voted as the best right back of the tournmanent by SofaScore. While the past twelve months have been an individual success for the 31-year old success for Al-Faisaly has been hard to come by.
The team lost the league title on the last day of the season in 2023/24 and this year’s campaign has been a disaster. Jordan’s most successful club is a whopping 15 points behind holders Al-Hussein and has drawn seven times in 11 matches.
The crisis at the club meant the Palestine captain was allowed to void his contract in order to pursue the opportunity with Al-Wakrah.
Football Palestine understands that the team will work to secure exemptions for both Termanini and Al-Battat in order to use them in league play.
