Preparations for Palestine’s debut in the decisive round of Asian World Cup qualifiers continue at pace. The team has been in Jordan since the beginning of the month with several players being put through their paces. The numbers swelled with several out of contract players and those in the offseason joining the fold.

Makram Daboub has yet to announce his squad but it is expected to include some- if not most- of those that traveled to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. Several others- including Indonesia based Mohammed Rashid- have since joined up bringing the total number of players in camp to 15.

Football Palestine also understands that Palestine is likely to wear a different jersey in qualifying after the team’s deal with Tempo expired. Al-Fida’i have been training in Kelme provided kit featuring a simple reworked flag badge.

The team is expected to play scrimmage matches against local clubs before flying out to Seoul next week where they will meet with the rest of the squad.

Palestine will return to Kuala Lumpur to host Jordan on neutral territory on September 10th.
