Nazmi Albadawi notched his first goal on Wednesday night as he opened the scoring for North Carolina FC in their 2-1 win over Birmingham Legion.
The goal was the 29 year old’s first of the season and will help the Carolinians stay in contention for the playoffs. At the halfway point of the shortened 16 game regular season NCFC has 10 points from eight games. With three games in hand on the Legion (21 points) and two games in hand on the Charlotte Independence (15 points), NCFC have plenty of runway to recover from a slow start.
For his part Albadawi has generated 10 key passes while keeping his passing success rate at a crisp 88 percent.
