The draw for the West Asian Football Federation Championships was conducted a couple of days ago. 9 teams were drawn into three groups and for once, Palestine looks to have had lady luck by its side. The groups are as follows:
Group A:
Iran, Oman, Bahrain
Group B:
Jordan, Kuwait, Syria
Group C:
Iraq, Palestine, Yemen
The competition begins on September 24th and ends on October 3rd. Three group winners and the best runner up will advance to the semifinals. Palestine will play its first game on the 27th of September against Yemen and will then face Iraq two days later.
